ABOUT MISS JOZI

 

Miss Jozi is a search for young determined, confident, intellectual & well groomed ladies; aged 17 to 27 years; living within and around the respective communities of Johannesburg (Inner city, Eastern suburbs, South-eastern suburbs and Soweto, Northern suburbs, North-western suburbs, Southern suburbs). Miss Jozi winner will be a role model and motivation to the youth in Johannesburg, helping them believe in themselves that they are capable of achieving whatever it is they want to achieve in life. The Miss Jozi organization is made of a young and energetic team whose mission is to help young women realize their powers and capabilities. Our inspirational figure is Miss South Africa.

Miss Jozi Judging criteria

CASUAL WEAR (Counts 15% of the competition).

 Each contestant will be required to wear casual outfit of her choice. Contestant will be judged on her choice of outfit and grooming, posture and personality projection. 

SWIMWEAR (Counts 25% of the competition). 

Each contestant will be required to wear a swimsuit of her own choice. Contestant will be judged on Attractiveness, Presence, and lifestyle statement of physical health, walk, posture, and poise, display of energy, charisma and expression.

 EVENING WEAR (Counts 30% of the competition).

Each contestant will be required to wear a formal outfit her own choice. Contestant will be judged on sense of Confidence, personality and stage Presence, walk, posture, carriage and grace, sense of Style and correctness of the evening wear, sense of appeal and Charm. 

ON-STAGE QUESTIONS (Counts 30% of the competition). 

Each contestant that made it to the top 5 will be asked a question on stage. Contestant will be judged on the context she answered the question, is she conformable of talking on stage in front of spectators? Will young people see her as a Role Model who is thoughtful of today’s generation?
